Gas – Gaza's Gas

Gaza's gas derives its geostrategic value from bordering a politically complex territory, around and over which multi-level, multi-instrument conflicts revolve. Gaza's gas went unnoticed for nearly two decades: neither did the Palestinian political authority in Ramallah raise the issue of the Gaza Strip's fields, nor did Hamas — which inherited control over the Gaza Strip — place it on its agenda, whether in its conflict with the Authority, with Israel, or in its relationship with Egypt.
