The War on Gaza… "Contexts, Repercussions, and Outcomes"

Phoenix Center for Research and Field Studies has issued a new book titled The War on Gaza: "Contexts, Repercussions, and Outcomes," by a group of authors, where the book contains a diverse set of articles on the events of October 7 and their security and political repercussions at the local, regional, and international levels, through objective readings of current events, as the papers attempt to probe the depths of the political and security reality in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the areas occupied in '48, and the international and regional repercussions of the war on Gaza.

The book's ten papers were distinguished by the diversity of their topics, covering the events unfolding in the Palestinian territories, Israel, and the regional and international environment after October 7 from multiple angles, with the papers bearing the following titles:

- A Reading of the October 7 Operation: "Goals, Repercussions, and Outcomes" by researcher Dr. Mansour Abu Kareem, in which the paper presented an objective reading of the goals of the October 7 operation and its repercussions on the future of conditions in the Palestinian territories, and the Gaza Strip specifically.

- The Security and Political Situation in the West Bank After October 7: "Military Incursions and Settlement Expansion" by researcher Dr. Raed Najm, in which the paper presented an extensive reading of the Israeli assault after October 7 toward the West Bank, the security incursions and Israeli settlement expansion, and the tangible shift the West Bank arena witnessed in Israeli behavior toward further imposing new facts on the ground to enforce the approach of decisively settling the conflict, taking advantage of the media focus on what is happening in the Gaza Strip.

- Israel and Its Palestinian Citizens After October 7: "Obscured Citizenship and Security Persecution" by researcher Dr. As'ad Ghanem, Professor of Political Science at Haifa University, in which the paper attempted to present an extensive explanation and in-depth analysis of the repercussions of October 7 on the Palestinians of the occupied interior, amid security persecution and attacks on freedom of opinion and expression against Arab citizens inside Israel.

- Israel and the Dilemma of the Day After the War: "Security Challenges and Possible Scenarios" by researcher Dr. Mansour Abu Kareem, in which the paper presented an extensive explanation of the security and political challenges of what is known as the strategy of the day after the war in Gaza, as Israel faces numerous challenges in implementing its vision for what is known as the day after the war, and presented a set of scenarios for this phase, reflecting the difficulty of the situation and the ambiguity of the phase.

- Political Developments in Israel After October 7: "Political Movement Between the Generals and the Ruling Right" by researcher Dr. Ahed Farwana, in which the paper presented an extensive explanation of the nature of the political and popular movement underway in Israel after October 7, and the outcomes of this movement amid intensifying competition between the generals' parties and the ruling religious right.

- The Nature of American Movement on the Settlement Track During the Presidential Election Year: "Goals and Possible Scenarios" by researcher Dr. Raed Najm, in which the paper presented an in-depth analysis of the nature of the goals of American movement in the election year, and the possible scenarios for this year.

- The Israeli Attack on UNRWA: "Causes, Goals, and Repercussions" by researcher Dr. Ibrahim Hamad, in which the paper presented an in-depth explanation of the nature of the Israeli goals behind the attack on UNRWA, and the political, legal, and societal repercussions of the Agency's collapse.

- The Regional Repercussions of October 7: "Developments in the Regional Scene Between Unity of Arenas and the Escalation of Fronts" by researcher Dr. Hani Taleb, in which the paper presented an in-depth explanation and analysis of the repercussions of October 7 on the Middle East region, amid escalating confrontation.

- The Conditions of Palestinian Prisoners Inside Israeli Prisons After October 7: "Assaults and Assassinations" by researcher Dr. Elham Shamali, in which the paper presented an in-depth explanation and extensive analysis of the conditions of Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli prisons after October 7.

- The Conditions of Palestinian Women After October 7: "Security Challenges and Livelihood Difficulties" by researcher Dr. Mansour Abu Kareem, in which the paper presented an in-depth explanation and extensive analysis of the nature of the challenges suffered by Palestinian women after October 7, amid malnutrition, declining healthcare, and a shortage of medicines and medical and health supplies.

The book's papers provided an in-depth explanation and extensive analysis of the security, political, and livelihood conditions of Palestinian society and the regional and international situation after October 7, and also presented visions, approaches, and scenarios that Palestinian decision-makers could adopt, as most of these papers included recommendations and conclusions that Palestinian decision-makers and the factions could adopt to reduce challenges and maximize available opportunities, in order to achieve the goals of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence, and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
